YOGA LEVEL 1
The fundamentals of yoga are taught in this class, including basic postures (asanas), proper alignment, and coordination of breath and movement. Become more familiar with your body, increase strength, flexibility and balance, and learn to relax deeply. This class is for those with little or no experience with yoga as well as for students who seek to build a sturdy foundation for their yoga practice.
YOGA LEVEL 1 - 2
Builds on the basics. More challenging asanas and pranayama (yogic breathing techniques) are introduced. For those who want to deepen their yoga practice. Some prior yoga experience is suggested but not required.
A perfect introduction to the healing art of yoga. Gentle yoga postures and simple breathing techniques cultivate an inner experience of peace and balance.
A blend of yoga, self-massage, breathwork and corrective exercises. You will identify and focus on “body blind spots”; areas that are overused, underused, and misused to help you live better in your body. All levels welcome.
SATURDAY COMMUNITY YOGA
Currently not offered.
A donation-based class. All levels welcome, including beginners. Children with a sincere interest in yoga and accompanied by an adult are welcome at the discretion of staff.
INTRODUCTION TO MEDITATION
A 2-class series that includes instruction in meditation, yogic breath, posture, relaxation, and mindfulness. For those who are seeking deeper levels of relaxation, peace of mind and a deeper understanding of and connection with their true nature.
MEDITATION REVIEW AND PRACTICE
Prerequisite: Completion of Dhyanyoga Centers Introduction to Meditation Series.
A donation-based class. Offered the last Monday of each month.
A review of meditation technique, pranayama (breathing techniques), and meditation practice supports.
Q&A and meditation included.
INTEGRATED YOGA AND MEDITATION
Not currently offered.
This class will focus on yoga/meditation as a form of mindful rest and cultivate intention and awareness for the practice. Self-study is encouraged and supported with simple asanas (poses), meditation, pranayam (breathing) techniques and some restorative poses as well.
